WARNING: MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!
I went to line up for the Midnight showing of Nightmare on Elm St, and I wasn't expecting for it to get busy considering the town I live in is lame, but it got pretty busy, mostly young kids that went to see it. I felt a bit out of place cuz the 1st movie came out around my time, so I figured there would be more adults my age and not as many teenagers. Anyway, it started off with the first victim killing himself, which was pretty gruesome but nothing too intense. The story progressed with more suspense and the tone of the movie was a bit darker than the original, which I really enjoyed, I'm not big on cheezy scary movies, it takes away from the scary factor. It had it's funny parts but still held on to the scariness of the movie. It shows how Freddy was wrongfully killed but was not wronfully accused. So it was up to the last two kids that remained to figure out what actually happened with the parents' secret. But, they find out they were right all along, now the mission was to find a way to kill Freddy while trying to stay awake with sleep deprivation. They some how manage to bring him out from the "dream world" to reality and kill him, or so they thought. But I guess that's how they are setting up for the sequel. So, since I am pretty desensitised it was still pretty good, but judging by all the reaction of the chickens in the audience, I am guessing it was a pretty scary movie. Overall I give it a 7 popcorn out of 10!

What Scatter Thinks pt2

You know what death by firing squad is?...Awesome thats what it is! That's the way some dirtbag is going out in June. God bless Utah and some of it's old school laws and tactics. Utah is the only state in the Union that still allows firing squad as an option to death row inmates. Last week a Utah state judge signed a death warrant for a 49 year old guy named Ronnie Lee Gardner, who was convicted for murdering an attorney during an escape attempt from a Salt Lake City courthouse back in 1985. He got to choose between lethal injection or firing squad and went Firing Squad! And that is so deadwood, I Love It! When it comes to the death penalty i think their should be almost limitless options. I'd like them to be rather spectacular personally, but instead of limiting them to 2, 3 or 10 choices, we should let the inmates come up with their own ideas. "Here's your death warrant, how do you wanna go", "Oh you wanna be filled with jelly until you explode?" alright, "You wanna be thrown in a shark tank?" done. "You wanna car dropped on you from six stories up?" alright sounds good see you Thursday. I think you could have an awesome run of douchebag killings just by having stuff dropped on them...all very cartoonish. Think of all the things that have notoriously been dropped on cartoon characters; safe, piano, horse, anvil, house, etc. Some bleeding hearts would probably say that would be cruel and unusual but I disagree. There is no way a guy isn't gonna die instantly having a piano dropped on his head. It's impossible. Plus throw in some perfectly timed Hannah Barbera sound effects blasted through a reasonably powered Hi-Fi and you've got a winner! (ka-bonk) lol....Now by the way how can a guy be on death row for 25 years? A quarter century...why bother? Why are taxpayers footing the bill for this guys housing, food, medical care, and entertainment for half a Fifty. That makes about as much since as owning every Lindsey Lohan movie. I just think two years of appeals max, then Whamo....hilarious mixture of death and sound effects (BONK followed by birds chirping) Everyone wins, well almost everyone, everyone that matters. For now though Firing Squad is good, sound effects would still be welcome. I'm Scatter and thats what i think and that's your new opinion

parents control your kids!!!

I dont know about you guys, but i am sick and tired of walking down the street seeing thews kids act like retards, assholes, hellians, etc. now i personally dont blame the kids for all of it, i blame most of it on parents and the law. i blame the law for making these parents scared to discipline their chilldren. i also blame the law because it makes it increadibly difficult to to teach these kids a lesson on the streets, but back to the story at hand. what most of these parents dont realize is you can lay your hand on your child as long as it doesnt leave a mark. so instead of disciplining their kids they do nothing, which in turn makes their kids little punks. parents can can say well i ground my child all they want but i have very seldom seen a parent who actually sticks with it. now im not saying beat your kids senselessly. just show them whos in in charge when they act up. and keep an eye on them when they go outside dont let them know your there but when you see them treat othersbadly wait till they get home confront them on it punish them and i can almost garantee they wont be misbehaving towards others. cuz theyll be scared to do it when they think you see everything they do. just dont spoil your your kids and when they act up dont be afraid to spank them and take away their freedoms , but when you do stick with it.

New And Startling Revelations...Proof ZombiSlayrX2012 is part of Transformers History!!!

Galvatron vs Zombie Galvatron

Don't you know?! The dead—the dead walk the streets of Kalis! And their victims... their victims become like them—the living dead! ”
—Flywheels, "City of Fear!"

Although Transformers are often rebuilt or otherwise brought back from apparent death, there are also many examples of them being partially reanimated as zombies, either self-aware or under the control of another.

Don't forget to kill Philip!“ And some lingering remnants of his memory and personality ”
“ But without our circuit implants, he would be utterly mindless, an ordinary machine. ”
“ A robotic zombie. ”
—The Quintessons, "Dark Awakening"

While fleeing from Galvatron's Decepticons, Rodimus Prime and his Autobots find refuge inside an Autobot funeral barge, where Daniel Witwicky stumbled upon the reanimated form of Optimus Prime. Though most of the Autobots did not believe Daniel's story, Rodimus was obsessed with Optimus's memory, and tracked him down. After finding Optimus seemingly still alive, Rodimus happily handed over the Matrix of Leadership. However, things were not as they appeared, and Optimus immediately turned on them, left them to die in the funeral barge, and escaped in a ship he had built.

Upon Optimus' return to Cybertron, he claimed that Rodimus and his crew had died due to a cruel Quintesson trick, and commanded every single Autobot to help him strike back. This was just what the Quintessons had orchestrated from the beginning, having reanimated the Autobots' former leader solely for the purpose of leading the entire faction into a deadly trap. Now without the Matrix, Hot Rod and his crew had managed to escape, and Hot Rod battled Optimus one-on-one in an attempt to reclaim the Matrix and get to the bottom of this deception. The real Optimus eventually resurfaced, returned the Matrix to Rodimus, once again gave him his blessing, and the Autobots retreated. Optimus's final act would be to pilot their ship into the trap, detonating it, and leaving a nova behind... Dark Awakening if he hadn't come back again later anyway.

Masterforce
Paaanties...paaaantieeees...After stealing dead bodies from medical universities, Dauros and Gilmer infused them with evil energy from Devil Z. These human zombies (in matching Decepticon jumpsuits) had begun to lay siege to a local city when Lander, who was nearby, changed into his Pretender form and battled them. However, the zombies began to disappear in a flash of light after they had run out of energy.

The Decepticons realized that they needed to infuse life energy from living humans into the zombies to avoid this problem. After kidnapping several human boys, the Autobot Pretenders came to the rescue and befriended one of the boys, Cab, who joined their team.

Video Games and the First Amendment

A federal judge has blocked enforcement of a California law restricting violent video games, saying it violates the First Amendment's guarantee of freedom of expression.
U.S. District Judge Ronald Whyte ruled late Wednesday that the state law, signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger in October, unconstitutionally restricts minors' rights to information and granted the video game industry's request for a preliminary injunction.

"Serious questions are raised concerning (California's) ability to restrict minors' First Amendment rights in connection with exposure to violent video games, including the question of whether there is a causal connection between access to such games and psychological or other harm to children," Whyte said in a 17-page opinion http://i.n.com.com/pdf/ne/2005/california_ruling.pdf?tag=mncol;txt

California is one of a string of states that recently have enacted similar laws restricting violent and sexually explicit video games--legislation that has been uniformly rejected by the courts. Laws in Illinois and Michigan were blocked by federal judges on First Amendment grounds in the last few weeks, and earlier laws in Indianapolis and Missouri's St. Louis County have also been shot down. The U.S. Supreme Court has not squarely addressed this topic, but it has said in other contexts that even minors have free-expression rights.

The California law said minors must be restricted from buying a "violent video game." That was defined as a game in which the player has the option of "killing, maiming, dismembering or sexually assaulting an image of a human being" in offensive ways.

The Entertainment Software Association, a Washington, D.C.-based trade group that filed many of the lawsuits, applauded the California decision.

"For the sixth time in five years, federal courts have now blocked or struck down these state and local laws seeking to regulate the sale of games to minors based on their content, and none have upheld such statutes," ESA president Douglas Lowenstein said in a statement.

Because Judge Whyte's decision is only preliminary, the final outcome could change after a full trial takes place. Attorneys for California are expected to cite research that claims to demonstrate a causal link between violent video games and harm to children.

What Scatter Thinks

I think this is the first Gears related post lol...Can someone please explain to me why everything you do in gears is considered "NOOB" for example, Lancer..noob Shotgun..noob HardAim..noob Blindfire..noob Melee..noob Pistol..noob Nades..noob Boomshot..noob TorqueBow..noob Longshot..noob Chainsaw..noob<---now that is noob lmfao but i'm just saying what the fuck am i supposed to use to kill ur ass that isn't noob...seriously it makes me want to slam my head into things but i cant because that would also be noob...that's what Scatter thinks and that's ur new opinion

P.S. Prime 4 Prez

Do you Believe?

Well this is about something completely different then subject games or anything of that nature. Ghost,Spirits,Demons or whatever you might call them or weather or not you believe in them, there seems to be something going on and it seems to be on the raise! I personally have seen and heard things that I cant not explain. You might think me crazy or weird but I know that there are force out there that we as a society can not explain or understand. I think that most people, not all but most like to think that all there is, is us and that's it. I think that, that way of thinking helps people feel   as if they are in control of everything, but that is just not the case! I write this because I want to hear about things that have happened to all of you and if you have not had anything or do not believe in such things, thing give us your side of it or your reason for not believe. One of my first encounters was at Alcatraz Island where I took a picture of a window, with no possibility of a refection from anyone, there was a face in a window of a  closed build on the island. Now I have the pic and as soon as I find it I will post it here. But that is just one thing to get the ball rolling sorta speak.

Learn To Play Your Emulated Games On XBMC Media Center

I don't consider myself an old school video gamer, but I can enjoy and understand why some older games still live up to the the hype they had years ago.

Since we can't get some of these older games or their consoles anymore, we use emulators to play the classics which made us smile ass kids.

If your an XBMC user who loves emulators then you'd enjoy Lifehacker's guide on how to use emulators in it.

Gaming Story’s Being Over Looked

Gaming Story’s Being Over Looked

So I just got done watching the Ghostbusters video game trailer and it has me jazzed, but it also got me thinking about all the games that have come from movies and all the movies that have come from games. I’m trying to think of one movie that came from a game idea that was really good, Max Payne and Mortal Kombat are good but not even close to being as good as there game counter parts. I think that Hollywood is to blame for this because they don’t take the gaming industry seriously, they look at game ideas as just ways to make a quick buck! I think that if they took them seriously they would have some huge blockbusters on there hands. If only Hollywood would realize that it takes these gaming companies years to make these game’s great, maybe then they would stop making the movie of the game in two months and give it the treatment it needs. Video game movies have a bad rep of sucking and then we here the crappy excuses that the story is only good for a game and not a real movie Blah Blah Blah. All it’s going to take is one visionary Director and Studio and people will see how great these games can translate to the big screen. Think about this, there where more people lined up for Halo 3 at midnight then there where for the Dark Knight at midnight. Why? Because everyone wanted to know what happened to Master Chief. A video game character that had people emotional attached to him. How can you say that’s not what every writer wants, people feeling attached to their characters! How can Hollywood say that’s not good for film??? If you want to see someone who knows how to take a game and put it on film check out Rupert Sanders and the Halo ODST Trailer.

Why Replay?

As kids, many of us played one video game more than once, five or more times over. It was because we were just kids who could not afford to buy new games. We just stuck to one game and replayed it so much we remembered almost every line and moment in the game.

Those gamers, now older and with jobs, have options to buy new games or replay the ones they already own. They also have an option on what to do with those old games. The deciding factor of whether we give the game away or sell it is whether that game has replay value. There are many different ways to enjoy a game after completing the story or mode.

Play the game on harder difficulties. Difficulties were made to challenge seasoned players. There are usually three difficulties: easy, medium, and hard. Sometimes, there is a really hard, which is for the top players who want to not only beat the challenges developers make, but to challenge themselves as gamers. The Halo series is a great example of a game that ups the difficulties enough that players can become masters of the game.

Halo also shows us another great way to add replay value to a game: multiplayer. It can be online with random people or on a couch with your significant other. Gamers have a need to play with other people because it is a great feeling to share moments with others. Just to emphasize, not all multiplayer modes are good, but games like Halo and Left 4 Dead let gamers play and work together as a team to accomplish great things that would seem mundane if played alone.

One way to unlock difficulties is by completing the game. Completing a game does not always mean finishing a story, but obtaining every item, collectible, weapon, power, or jewel in the game’s world. There may be multiple story lines to complete; one is always not enough to see a whole story from every point of view.

To get those multiple point of views, gamers can play through the game again as another character. If a game has multiple characters, that usually means there are multiple stories to play through and new experiences to gain from playing those stories. This applies to RPGs and Fighting games. Street Fighter IV has numerous characters like Ryu and Ken that each has their own fighting styles and stories to learn and master. Dragon Age: Origins also has several stories to go through with numerous characters to choose from.

Customization is another aspect that will save a game from getting sold or forgotten. Allowing gamers to create their own levels and challenges for themselves add a ton of replay value to a game. Little Big Planet lets gamers develop levels for themselves and create a world of their own that they can share with their friends and experience the fun of creation with people all around the world or in their own home.

Pac Man and Donkey Kong gave gamers the gift of competition by obtaining high scores and beating out other people from the top list of players. It is now known as leader boards in online games, but it’s the same thing. Geometry Wars: Evolved and its sequel also added fun and excitement because it allowed gamers to see their friend’s scores in each game mode. Competition does not only add replay value, but desire for more challenges for developers to look upon when creating a sequel.

The next time you’re looking at that shiny new game, remember your games at home and wonder about all the things it did right that would make you want to play it again before chucking it out the window.     .
